ENDING SUMMER WITH A FEW FRAGRANCE FAVOURITES

There’s no doubt that when it comes to fragrances most of us have our all year round signature scents. It could be that it works well with your body chemistry or that you get the most compliments with a particular fragrance on or you just find yourself gravitating to one the most. Fragrances can evoke a sense of nostalgia and wanderlust, transporting us to the beach, blooming gardens, and exotic destinations reminding us of that beautiful time in your lives. Summer fragrances are more than just scents, they're a sensory journey that embodies the essence of the season and serve for a magical time stamp. Summer fragrances usually feature light, refreshing notes like citrus, florals complement the warm weather. Scents with hints of bergamot, lemon, or mandarin add a zesty, invigorating touch, while delicate florals like jasmine or rose lend a subtle sweetness. For those who prefer a more grounded aroma, fragrances with notes of green tea, cedarwood, or even a whisper of coconut can evoke the feeling of a tropical escape. ACNE STUDIOS PAR FREDERIC MALLE BY SUZY LE HELLEY

I stumbled upon this fragrance in June and it completely took my breath away, I’ve yet to add this one to my collection but it is very high on my wishlist to acquire before summer is over because I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s the perfect spring/summer fragrance with notes of fresh aldehydes, concealed by the sweetness of flowers, peach and vanilla, warmed by creamy sandalwood and white musk. I’m glad the brand decided to collaborate with such a reputable perfumer to create such a unique and memorable fragrance.

TOM FORD VANILLA SEX

Tom Ford’s newest fragrance, Vanilla Sex Eau de Parfum is all the rave right now and I absolutely get it. It won Fragrance of the Year Universal Luxury by the Fragrance Foundation Awards. It is a stand out fragrance for a summer night out with a fusion of vanilla notes at its core with white florals and warm and spicy notes of sandalwood. A little goes a long way with this one. If you’re a lover of Tom Ford fragrances and gravitate towards vanilla notes this fragrance is one to check out.

BYREDO BLANCHE

+ LA TULIPE

I have so many favorites when it comes to Byredo but one of their fragrances I can’t live without is the Byredo Blanche. It is the perfect everyday scent reminiscent of fresh and clean laundry but in the most luxurious way. The top notes are white rose, pink pepper and aldehyde. Heart notes are violet, neroli and peony. Base notes are blonde woods, sandalwood, musk. Making for the perfect balance of soft and delicate but with great allure. Another Byredo fragrance I’ve had my eyes on is La Tulipe and it is currently on my wishlist. It is the ultimate spring/summer fragrance with the grand heart note of Tulip. I’ve branched away from overly sweet and floral scents but this one has been done in the most sophisticated way. The top notes are rhubarb, cyclamen and freesia. Base notes are blonde woods and vetiver. Next time you stop by Byredo stores give this one a try.

DIPTIQUE PHILOSYKOS

The ultimate summer vacation fragrance, a European summer to be exact. Smelling Philosykos for the first time teleported me straight back to the first time I visited Greece. This fragrance is a tribute to the Mediterranean and the fig tree from the green freshness of the leaves, the density of the wood and milky flavor of the fruit in the middle of summer in Greece. Philosykos also means "friend of the fig tree" in Greek and being one of my favorite destinations in the world it was easy to fall in love with the uniqueness of this fragrance.

XERJOFF ERBA PURA

Xerjoff Erba Pura is an exceptional summer fragrance and a stable in my collection. It’s the perfect balance between freshness and sophistication, making it an ideal choice for warm weather.
